The sweet dish, made of rice, moong dal, jaggery and milk, is a traditional delicacy prepared during Pongal and is considered to be a symbol of abundance and prosperity.

The celebration began with a prayer, followed by a message, which reminded the children about the importance of the harvest festival. The message emphasized the importance of gratitude and being thankful for the blessings of nature and the hard work of farmers.
